The next Annual General Meeting of the ALD will take place on Saturday 25th May 2019.

The AGM is open to all members of the ALD, although only Professional, Fellow and Life members are entitled to vote at an AGM, if they have FULLY paid their outstanding subscriptions for 2018/19. If you are in any doubt whether you owe any subscription monies, again please contact membership@ald.org.uk as soon as possible.

Any voting members that cannot attend the AGM will be eligible to appoint a Proxy in their place. Please inform the Office no later than 24 HOURS before the start of the meeting if you wish to appoint a proxy the easiest way to register your proxy is to email election@ald.org.uk directly.

This year, the afternoon session will be a series of discussions around the themes identified and discussed at the recent Strategy weekend that the Executive Committee took part in.

We are using the ticketing system below to gauge numbers attending each part of the event. So please choose tickets for each part of the event you plan to attend.

Discussion lead by Nick Moran and Nick Ware on lighing in large Opera houses.

Session B - Proposed Equity Contract

Bernie will be leading a discussion on how we can work with cameras on shows made for a live audience.

The ALPD is the professional body representing all those who work or are interested in the creation of lighting, video or projection design for live performance and events in the United Kingdom and around the world.Whether you are a Designer, production electrician, programmer or crew member, the ALPD aims to further the art and appreciation of creative lighting design and raise the professional status of lighting design as part of the creative process. Its members are drawn from across the fields of theatre (including Opera and Dance), Rock and Roll, corporate presentations and events, education, television, architecture and manufacturing.

The ALPD is the mouthpiece of the performance lighting industry and a resource for information on the wide range of lighting design topics that affect designers in all areas of the lighting profession. It also provides a resource and forum for the discussion and development of artistic and creative lighting aims in the as well as create an understanding of the process involved in lighting design and how changing technology assists this.
